Your validation code will be sent after we have received the Program ID and payment.

If upgrading from Silver 4.0 or Bronze 4.1 contact us for a current price.
We will require your full name, address and your Customer or Registration number.

DOWNLOAD 4.1 Bronze

Click on the PCW4 Bronze icon above.
Proceed with your browser's instruction dialogs.
Click on Save
The browser will get the bronze4114.exe file and ask you to save it to your computer,
On the desktop, for instance.

The bronze4114.exe is a self extracting zip file that is 1147 Kb.
Download may take 5 to 20 minutes on dialup connections depending on net traffic and your internet connection.
For high speed or cable connection try Bronze Setup which makes installation easy but the file will take a lot longer to download in a dial up modem connection.

For Download problems, go to FAQs and look for Installation problems. It is not yet up, but we are working on this.

To install the downloaded program, print these instructions for future reference
Save the downloaded file to CD as a backup for safekeeping.

INSTALLATION OF 4.1 Bronze

The installation file is a Self Extracting Zip file. You do not need a copy of WinZip.
Open the installation file which you saved to your computer.

A dialog with a brief set of instructions will open. Read and OK.

NOTE: If a dialog appears that tells you that this is not a Win 32 application, the download is incomplete. Try again. You may have to try at a different time of day when the line is less busy or less noisy.
You may also see a dialog telling you that Microsoft does not recognize the program. Ignore this warning and close the dialog.

A dialog pops up giving you brief instructions. Read and OK

Another dialog pops up showing the location to which the file will be unzipped, high lit in blue.
Make a note of this location.
It should be C:\Fiberworks SP4120

•    Click on UNZIP
•    Do not click on RUN WINZIP
•    A new dialog pops up that tells you that “46 files unzipped successfully”
•    Click OK button on this dialog
•    Click Close button on the Winzip dialog

Your 4.1 Silver program is now installed in the C:\Fiberworks SP4120 folder.

SHORTCUT ON DESKTOP

•    Open My Computer, choose Local disk C: and navigate to and open
     Fiberworks SP4120 folder.
     You should see the icon for PCW listed as MFC Application in the folder.
•    Right click on this icon, but don't open the program.
     A menu appears with Send To › near the middle of the list.
•    Move the cursor carefully down and to the side and click on
     Desktop (create shortcut)

This will place the 41 Bronze shortcut on the desktop.
It may be hidden under an open Window.

•    Open My Computer, choose Local disk C: and navigate to and open
     Fiberworks BP4120 folder.
•    Open the folder Silver 41 manuals. Look for Silver manual.pdf and the Loom manual.pdf files
     PDF file icon is grey with a red bar and a red swirl
•    Right click on the Silver manual.pdf file
•    A menu appears with Send To › near the middle of the list.
•    Move the cursor down and then to the side and click on Desktop (create shortcut).
•    Repeat for the Loom manual.pdf

This will place the shortcuts to the Silver and loom manuals on the desktop.

4.1 SILVER VALIDATION

•    Close all Windows.
•    Open Bronze 41014 (Pcw.exe) program by double clicking on the desktop icon.
•    The validation dialog will appear.
•    Near the top you will see “Your Program ID” with a 6-10 digit number
     containing a hyphen.
•    Copy this number exactly into an email message along with
     your customer number if you have one, name, address, program version, type of loom, version of
     Windows.
•    Send this number by email to us at   info@fiberworks-pcw.com
•    We will send you the validation code by return email.
•    Until you receive the validation code, you may use the program indefinitely,
     but it will not save or print.
•    Once you have received the Validation Code, enter it into the 4 small boxes below
     the Program ID.
     Make sure that you have typed over the "0", and do not add any extra spaces.
•    Click on the Close button in the dialog.
•    A message pops up telling you that the program has been successfully validated.
     The validation dialog should not appear again.

If you install PCW 4.1 on a second computer, or a new computer, send us the new Program ID and we will send you another validation code. Please include your name, your new Program ID, the version of Fiberworks you want validated and the version of Windows you are using.

If the validation dialog keeps appearing, either we or you have made a typo, or your security may be set very high, you may not have administrator rights on your computer or you have an old version of Windows.
Your computer may have generated a new code because of a major Windows upgrade.
Resend the Program ID and we will check it and generate a new validation code. If you have Windows 95, the validation may not work, in which case, contact us.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Fiberworks programs are password protected. Until they are validated, you can use them as a Demo.
The program will open and you may use all the features except
Save, Save As, Print, Preview and Print, and Weave.
